Transformation in the teaching of Social Sciences with Information and Communication Technologies
Resumen
The research explored the impact of the integration of interdisciplinary approaches and the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the teaching of Social Sciences. Through a mixed methodological design that included surveys of 3,556 students and in-depth interviews with teachers, it was evaluated how these pedagogical strategies improved the critical thinking and comprehensive understanding of university students. The findings indicated that the experimental group, exposed to interdisciplinary approaches and ICT, showed significantly higher performance compared to the control group in terms of grades, critical understanding and satisfaction. Evidently, this study contributed to the discussion about the effectiveness of ICT in education and highlighted the importance of constant training for teachers and the implementation of pedagogical strategies that promoted the effective use of these technologies.
