Smart tourism destination, experiencia phygital y turismo rural
Resumen
El paradigma STD debe considerar la relevancia de la tecnología, no sólo como componente de gestión, sino también como atributo de la experiencia del turista en el destino. El concepto de experiencia Phygital está emergiendo como un reto importante para el diseño de cada STD, pudiendo existir diferencias relevantes entre tipos de destinos.
El presente trabajo estudia el binomio STD/Phygital como el caso de la gallina y el huevo. Para ello se apoya en un trabajo de campo en un destino rural, y construye un modelo que define y valora los conceptos de Utilidad y de Valor de la Tecnología para sus visitantes, integrando las principales aplicaciones tecnológicas actuales en los STD.
Los resultados permiten observar como la tecnología mobile, online/ontime, forma parte permanente del comportamiento del turista, y de la creación de un nuevo tipo de experiencia personalizada que fusiona lo físico y lo tecnológico: Phygital.
