Campus Virtuales (ISSN: 2255-1514) is a scientific journal of multidisciplinary research regarding the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in education. It has been created with a twofold aim, to gather researchers’ personal experiences and of institutional virtual campus as well.

This scientific journal of Latin American scope has been edited for reflecting and researching and the analysis on educational technologies and it will be published both in English and Spanish.

The journal is released twice a year, in October and March, since October 2012. It counts on a scientific editorial board of more than 50 members, composed by experts in this field from Spanish Universities and from research centers and higher education institutions mainly in America and Europe as well.

Campus Virtuales fulfills all the internationally recognized quality criteria; therefore all the articles include abstracts and keywords, in Spanish and English. Before publishing, all the manuscripts will be reviewed by experts who belong to the advisory and the editorial Board (peer blind review). The articles will be accepted for publication once they are reviewed by two experts. Each work contains the date of receipt and admission.

The different sections in the journal, mainly focused on research, contain monographs on topics related to the field, as well as experiences, suggestions, ideas, platforms, reviews, information to promote discussion and debate among the scientific community and professional on-line training. Researchers also count on a scientifically qualified forum in the journal where they can share opinions, critical views, reflect on the issue or discuss about the state of the question so as to promote the professionalization of educational technology.

Campus Virtuales accepts articles from the scientific community (universities, higher education centres) and from educational ICT professionals worldwide, but especially in Latin America, Spain and Portugal. The journal is published by the Campus Virtuales University Network, a non-for-profit educational organization composed by Latin American professionals and university researchers, working since 2012. This network works on developing e-learning in the educational institutions and on the journal Campus Virtuales as well.

This journal does not charge APCs or submission charges.
